LC Global Industries Inc.

Company

A distribution business, run on records.

LC Global Industries Inc. buys consumer goods at wholesale in Canada and the United States and places them where getting them there is the hard part: northern and remote communities in Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia, and partner networks across Latin America.

SEC. 01 Who we are

It started as a family trip, not a business plan.

One Christmas the two families drove out to Nordegg — a hamlet on the David Thompson Highway, in the foothills west of Rocky Mountain House. It was a trip, not a scouting exercise. What stayed with us was the shelf in the general store: a short, careful catalogue, because everything on it had travelled a long way, and anything missing from it meant a day of driving to restock.

That is not a Nordegg problem. The same pattern repeats across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia — the longer the road, the shorter the catalogue, and the higher the price on whatever does arrive. The business is that observation and nothing more: get those stores the goods they actually sell, to their door, at a price that still works once the freight is in it. We built it around the lives we already had, and we still take the trips; they are how we learn the routes.

LC Global Industries is a small, owner-operated distribution company run by two partners, and that is a deliberate choice rather than a stage we are trying to grow out of. The accounts we serve are independent stores in communities of a few hundred to a few thousand people. They get a person who knows what they ordered last time, not a ticket number.

The shape of the business is unusual and worth explaining. Most distributors who can reach northern Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia have no reason to be in Latin America, and most importers into Latin America have never sent a pallet up a winter road. Both partners have lived and worked at the two ends of this route — Latin America and Western Canada — since 2010.

Operations are run by a partner with more than a decade in distribution across Venezuela and Chile: regional and last-mile delivery for national retail and e-commerce chains, at the scale of fleets above 150 vehicles and teams above 100. Since moving to Canada he completed a supply chain diploma here and went back to working warehouse and dispatch floors on purpose, to learn how Canadian operations run from the dock up before running one.

Buying, accounts and quality sit with a partner who spent five years managing client and vendor relationships across Western Canada, the United States and Colombia, and running quality control across more than thirty client projects. Both partners have worked on the ground in the northern Alberta communities on our coverage list.

What we are not. We are not a freight forwarder and not a broker. We buy the goods, we own them, and we carry the risk of what does not sell. That limits how quickly we can take on new lines, and it is exactly why we start every supplier relationship with a small opening order instead of a large promise.

Who you will be dealing with

Supplier accounts are handled directly, not through a call centre. The commercial partner reads the line sheet and negotiates the terms; the operations partner answers anything about freight, delivery windows and claims. Both are named, with identity documents, at onboarding.

SEC. 03 How we operate
01

Bilingual labelling

Consumer goods sold in Canada carry English and French labelling as required by federal packaging rules. We check this before a line is listed, not after a retailer raises it.

02

Lot and batch records

Lot numbers are recorded at receipt and held against the outbound shipment, so any recall or authenticity query can be traced to a specific delivery.

03

Cold-chain and seasonal limits

Some goods cannot ride a northern trailer in January or an unrefrigerated container in July. Products with temperature limits are flagged at listing and shipped in season only.

04

Written channel terms

Territory, permitted customer types and pricing policy are agreed in writing with each supplier before an opening order, and passed down to the retailers we supply.

05

Excluded goods

We do not handle alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, prescription pharmaceuticals, firearms or ammunition, or any product requiring a licence we do not hold.

SEC. 04 Contact

Talk to a person.

Inquiries are read and answered by the team, in English, French or Spanish. If you are a brand with a line to place, the supplier form collects what we need to give you a real answer faster.
