Coverage

Every point we serve, and how the freight gets there.

Beyond the regional centres, distribution is defined by access, not distance. A town four hundred kilometres up a paved highway is a routine delivery. A town ninety kilometres past the end of that highway is a different business entirely. This is the list, with the honest version of how each one is reached.

Regional centres — Grande Prairie, Fort McMurray, Prince George — are consolidation points, not service points. Serving a community not on this list is usually possible. Ask.

Saskatchewan 11 points

The same three provinces, apart. Thirty-seven communities in all — sixteen in Alberta, eleven in Saskatchewan, ten in British Columbia. The orange ones are the deliveries that have to be planned around ice, a sailing or a flight.

SEC. 02 What the access column means

Access class is the single variable that sets cost, transit and how far ahead a store has to order. It is the first thing we tell a retailer and the first thing a supplier should understand about this market.

A—01

Highway

Paved, maintained year-round. Standard LTL freight, predictable schedule, ordinary pallet handling.

A—02

Gravel road

Open year-round but unsealed. Slower transit, tighter packaging requirements, occasional closures in spring thaw.

A—03

Remote road

Long single-route access with little en-route service. Consolidated runs on a set cadence rather than on demand.

A—04

Road & ferry

A marine leg in the middle. Sailing schedule, not truck schedule, sets the delivery date.

A—05

Winter road / fly-in

Surface freight only while the ice road holds — roughly midwinter. Outside that window, air freight. Heavy and bulky stock is bought once a year, in season.

A—06

Fly-in

No road at any time of year. Weight and cube decide what is viable, which is why compact, high-value goods dominate the assortment.

Access class describes the community, not a promise of transit time. Delivery windows are quoted per order, against the season and the carrier schedule in force.

Latin America

We consolidate and export for established resellers and retail groups rather than selling direct to consumers. The partner places one order and receives one documented shipment; the purchase, the paperwork and the freight sit with us. Shipments leave from whichever United States gateway suits the destination.

Canada and the United States

We buy at wholesale on both sides of the border: from Canadian brands for the domestic leg, and from United States brands for anything crossing it. Freight is received, counted against the packing list, inspected and split by destination — north into Canada, or south for export. Splitting at the southern end is what keeps freight off the same road twice.
